Teaching Our Traditions (TOT) believes every raffle should be conducted with transparency, fairness, and integrity. This page explains how our raffles operate, how winners are selected, and how each participant can understand the odds of winning.
Every raffle has a predetermined maximum number of tickets. The ticket limit is established before sales begin, appears on the applicable raffle page, and will not be increased after ticket sales open. Different raffles may use different ticket limits based on the prize and fundraising objective.
Whenever supported by the raffle platform, the raffle page displays the number of tickets remaining. Because multiple transactions may process at the same time, the counter may briefly lag behind completed purchases. Tickets placed in a shopping cart are not reserved until checkout and payment are successfully completed.
TOT uses a sell-out model. A drawing is scheduled only after every available ticket in the applicable raffle pool has been sold. After the final ticket sells, TOT will:
Drawings are conducted publicly and livestreamed whenever practical. TOT may use one of the following impartial methods:
Each eligible ticket corresponds to a concealed number on a sealed board. One number is randomly revealed, and the matching ticket becomes the potential winning entry.
One numbered chip, ball, or marker is placed in a secured transparent drum for each eligible ticket number. The contents are thoroughly mixed and one number is randomly selected.
A technical problem affecting a livestream does not invalidate an otherwise properly conducted and documented drawing. Participants do not need to watch or attend to win.
Every valid ticket has the same chance of being selected. No advantage is given based on purchase date, purchase time, order size, donor history, or whether the participant watches the drawing.

Before or in connection with the drawing, TOT may publish a participant list containing names or abbreviated names, ticket numbers, and order numbers or partially redacted order numbers. The selected ticket identifies a potential winner only. TOT must verify eligibility, payment, identity, and all required prize documentation before a prize is awarded.
All firearm prizes are transferred through a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). A winner must be at least 21 years old and must satisfy every applicable federal, state, and local transfer requirement.
TOT may maintain a public Winners Archive that includes prize descriptions, drawing dates, winning ticket numbers, winner names or abbreviated names, cities and states, participant lists, photographs, and drawing recordings. Older records may be moved to an offline archive under TOT’s record-retention practices.
